Piccadilly Circus Circus
Appearing unannounced in the centre of London, Piccadilly Circus Circus was a one-day event that saw more than two hundred circus artists perform among the pendant flags and grand, stone buildings of Piccadilly.
Showing a little of the plain clothes rehearsals before heading into Sunday, the day of the performance, this film turns a roving eye to the many sights of the Piccadilly Circus Circus – from performances from artists of both high and low wire (respectively measured and passionately reckless), to opera singers whose waists emerge from colourful, floating bustlers the size of haystacks, and stylish French acrobats who run vertically up the wall of 62 Regent Street (watched by the shop mannequins striking casual poses within).
